World Ovarian Cancer Day

Today is World Ovarian Cancer Day, a day dedicated to creating and raising awareness about ovarian cancer.

Ovarian Cancer has the lowest survival rate of all gynaecological cancers and is the fifth most common cancer in women. It is diagnosed annually in nearly a quarter of a million women globally and is responsible for 4,200 deaths in the UK each year.

Very few people are aware of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer, and that is one of the reasons behind World Ovarian Cancer day.

The most common signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer are:

  • Persistent stomach pain
  • Persistent bloating
  • Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
  • Needing to wee more frequently
  • So we hope that this helps towards raising more awareness about ovarian cancer and to help charities that surround it.

Here at Giveacar we are here to fully support any great causes and we feel that this is one of them. If you would also like to show your support why not donate a car and donate the proceeds to an ovarian cancer charity.

The money could go towards helping to raise awareness about ovarian cancer which is what needs to be done.
