Your Old Cars have provided Clean Water

In 2015 The Chibozu Community Trust registered with us at Giveacar.

The Chibozu Community Trust are a small charity who work to improve local education, healthcare, and the environment in Zambia, Africa. The charity was Founded by Milden and Catherine Choongo in 2009 and The Chibozu Community Trust’s activities are based around the rural village of Simooya in the Choma District of Zambia.

The Chibozu Community Trust is a small charity that relies on donations in order for them to continue the great work that they do. Donations through Giveacar, by scrapping and auctioning cars from across the UK have made a real impact on what The Chibozu Community Trust have managed to achieve.

Since registering with us, Giveacar have managed to raise £1,000.00 for The Chibozu Community Trust, which is a huge amount. Milden and Catherine Choonog, and us at Giveacar thank all those who donated their old cars to The Chibozu Community Trust. Milden got in touch to inform us what this money has been able to do for them.

The entire £1,000.00 from the donated cars was put straight into installing a water bore at the village school, enabling the children to have clean, constant water which is “a dream come true”

Here are some photos of the water bore being installed, thanks to all those car donations!

Giveacar is a great way to support smaller charities where donations are vital to the cause, and like The Chibozu Community Trust the money goes straight into tangible projects making a real difference.
