Lambourne End Centre for Outdoor Learning

Lambourne End use a variety of farm, environmental and adventurous activities in our 54 acre classroom to deliver personal development programmes to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We work with students who are struggling in mainstream education (for a wide variety of reasons) on our Alternative Provision Education Programmes, and for those students for whom it is appropriate, we are able to offer a level 1, 2 or 3 NVQ level qualification in land based studies or animal care.  We also deliver Duke of Edinburgh programmes, work with Princes Trust groups, young people with additional needs, Looked After children, refugees and more.  The majority of the young people who attend the Centre come from East London (inner and outer boroughs) or Essex, but others come from further afield, e.g. Kent, Suffolk, Hertfordshire or West London.  The programmes we run are bespoke, and all are designed to build confidence, raise aspirations, increase resilience and improve teamwork skills.  For many of the young people we work with, Lambourne End is the first place where they realise that they too, can thrive.
