The North West Air Ambulance Charity’s helicopters fly 365 days a year, with the doctors and paramedics onboard providing rapid treatment, hospital transfers and ultimately giving the gift of time to patients across the entire North West region each year.

In a split second unexpected things can happen that will change your life forever. It is in these moments that North West Air Ambulance Charity will be at the right place, at the right time, saving lives. Our medical team respond to emergency calls across our region, attending major incidents and transferring patients to specialist hospitals. From mountains to motorways, rivers to roads and cities to countryside, we have successfully transported thousands of patients, giving the best chance of survival and recovery to all in our care. We fly 365 days a year, across 5,500 square miles, and provide a lifesaving service to the 8 million people of the North West and the many visitors our area attracts.

With the support of our incredible donors we now have Doctors on board our aircraft alongside our paramedics and pilots. This means that advanced emergency medical treatment can be delivered at the scene, saving crucial seconds in a patient’s time of need. Through the generosity of our supporters, we are able to keep our helicopters flying. However, we rely on charitable donations to keep our service operating and we need vital funds to continue saving lives.
