The Smiles Foundation

 The Smiles Foundation is a Christian Charity working in North West Romania with families & children in desperate need of a helping hand. 
The Cornerstone Family Care project supports nearly 200 families on a monthly basis with food, medication and social assistance.  
From this project came involvement with the Tileagd Roma Community just outside of Oradea. Shunned for years by the general community, their children found it hard to be accepted in regular school and so were without an education. The purpose built Tileagd Community School now provides an education for 161 children from the Roma community and the surrounding area. The school is part of a Community Centre, which includes Sports Hall, Medical Centre with Optometry and Dentist, and the Tileagd Community Church.
The Gepiu Community Project has three main strands of Elderly Care through lunches and food assistance, Education through after hours tuition & schooling and the Farm project. Produce from the farm is being sold to bring an income into the project.
