We’re a community dedicated to beating blood cancer by funding research, supporting those affected, and campaigning for change. Since 1960, we’ve invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives.

Blood cancer is the 5th most common cancer in the UK, and the 3rd biggest cancer killer. 43,000 people are diagnosed with blood cancer each year & blood cancer remains the most common cancer among children, teenagers and young adults in the UK.

Blood Cancer UK represents a 280,000-strong community of people in this country living with or in remission from leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers. The charity is currently funding £27m of research across 83 research projects in the UK. This essential research does three crucial things:

• Develops cures for people who have blood cancer

• Improves treatments and care for people living with blood cancer right now

• Looks for ways to stop blood cancer before it starts

We have had several cars donated to us through this scheme and it provides us with an additional way to riase very much needed funds to continue improving the lives of animals in The Gambia.
