Keeping Abreast

Keeping Abreast are a peer-to-peer support charity based in Norfolk for women facing Breast Reconstruction following a Cancer diagnosis or through the discovery of a hereditary gene. We have several support groups throughout UK and a wide network of over 200+ volunteers who kindly offer their time, non-medical advice and shared experience to help support individuals in need. Our support is not a ‘one off’, often the whole reconstruction process can take months if not years and we find people often still benefit from our support even post-surgery. In addition to support groups, we also have a host of tools such as our online resources, telephone support line and events that provide trusted advice with real life stories and surgery results to help empower people to make informed decisions regarding reconstruction. We are here to provide clarity and ensure no one faces Breast Cancer alone.
