Charity Name: Paws2Rescue

We are a UK dog rescue charity helping dogs and children  in the UK and overseas, mainly eastern Europe. We drive around the UK collecting donations of food and bedding to take out to the dogs – who are in shelters looked after by our rescuers – many of whom have been beaten and abused.

We also have life saving Christmas and Easter appeals across the UK for shoebox presents for the orphans and very low or no income families, for those children who have no shoes – yet alone Christmas gifts. We pick up donations from collection points across the UK to make Christmas special for the children in such desperate need.

The main aim of our charity is to raise awareness to the UK public to the abuse of dogs and to seek solutions for the stray and abused dogs. We are proud to have patrons Ricky Gervais, Sam Womack, Wendy Turner Webster and Marc Abrahams supporting our vital work – mainly in Romania, where we carry out neuter programmes and education lessons in schools on Animal Care.

Our team across Romania have around 3,000 dogs in their care, and we work to support them – and the many dogs who are not homeable and will live in their shelters for life. In Romania and many parts of eastern Europe, animal abuse is horrific. Our team works with local governments to try to improve conditions, and to continue pressure on governments to introduce national neuter programmes.

The public’s support of our work is vital. As a small charity, run solely by volunteers, every donation, every share, every word of support is vital to help us to keep saving lives.
