Young Minds

Thousands of children are isolated, unhappy, have eating disorders, self harm and suicidal feelings. One in three children in every classroom has a diagnosable mental health problem.
YoungMinds is the only national charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people and empowering their parents and carers.
We give young people a voice, help them to develop emotional resilience, provide practical advice and support them in raising awareness about the vital importance of good mental health and campaigning for better services.
Thousands of children and young people were helped this year by our range of services. Our free and confidential Parents’ Helpline continues to be a lifeline for  many parents worried about a child or teenager’s behaviour.
There is still a huge stigma around mental health problems which means children and young people are not getting the support they need. Disruptive, difficult, withdrawn and disturbed kids need to be supported and not just ignored and told off. Help us to help children and young people lead happy and productive lives.

What our charity partners say

We’re so pleased to be working with Giveacar, to provide an easy and efficient way for everyone who’s passionate about mental health to support Mind. Over the years we’ve received over £29,000 from generous people who have chosen to donate the proceeds from their car to Mind. This amount of money could help Mind keep Side by Side open for 5 and a half weeks. Side by Side is Mind’s online community where anyone can join, talk and find support. 24/7. Right now, mental health support is needed more than ever. We’re so grateful to Giveacar and their customers for […]

Mind

Giveacar is a fantastic, innovative way for people to donate to Cancer Research UK. We are hugely grateful to Giveacar for all the amazing donations we have received. With Giveacar’s help, we will be able to fund even more research and get closer to beating cancer.

Cancer Research UK

We have been absolutely delighted to take part in the Giveacar scheme. We have had several cars donated to us through this scheme and it provides us with an additional way to riase very much needed funds to continue improving the lives of animals in The Gambia. It’s such an easy scheme to use and is easy for us as the charity, as well as being easy for th person who needs to scrap their car too.

Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust

So far, we have received an amazing £37,947.11 through Giveacar donations. Today, 771 million people don’t have clean water close to home and 1.7 billion people don’t have access to a proper toilet. Just £15 can help provide one person with safe water. Help us reach everyone everywhere with safe water, clean toilets and good hygiene by 2030. Thank you! Celeste Mottahedin-Fardo, , Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager

Wateraid

The NSPCC has greatly benefitted through the Giveacar scheme and we would like to thank each and every one of the donors who have chosen the NSPCC to benefit through their participation in this car scrappage initiative. From a simple idea conceived by a young man with talent and vision ,we have watched this social business, with giving at its heart, grow to what it has become today – an amazing success – helping many worthwhile causes! Thank you Giveacar – you are enabling people to really make a difference to the lives of children through your support for the […]
